RESTORING DREAMS, HEALING HEARTS

Who are we?

In Texas, human trafficking is a serious issue. The Sheila Rivera Foundation was created as a support to restore the dignity of victims rescued from human trafficking with the word of God. God created human beings in His image and likeness, and no matter how much evil there is in the world, His Holy Spirit can restore the integrity of those rescued and give them a new life.

What is human trafficking?

Human trafficking is a form of exploitation that deprives people of their rights and freedoms, subjecting them to deplorable conditions. In 2022, about 313,000 people were victims of sexual exploitation in Texas, with Houston being one of the most affected areas.

For assistance, call the National Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or the Houston Women’s Center at 713-528-2121, which offers help and counseling 24 hours a day.
